When I was younger I was told that a team that allowed more then 3 or 4 goals against them has some real problems that they need to look at. Well tonight’s game for the Penguins both teams allowed more then 4 goals (6 or more). As much as I hate to say this I don’t believe the Penguins will do well this season. At 10pm I got tired of the Penguins game, so I jumped over to the Minnesota vs Phoenix game. I just checked the score and saw that the Penguins lost in over time, oh well. I will post a review of the Coyotes game later, it is still the first period and turning out to be a good game. It is now between the first ans second period now, and period 2 should start very soon.

First of all I love all these games on Digital Cable (man I am starting to sound like an ad for Comcast). I have looked at the list of games for tomorrows (channels given here are all in the Pittsburgh Area) The first game I will go for is the Boston vs Pittsburgh game (starting at 7:30pm on channel 29, Fox Sports) the next game on my watch list is the Minnesota vs Phoenix (771 at 10:00pm) I really want to see what Gretzky does with the Coyotes, he right now seams to be trying to find his line up, but he still has a good game going for that team. I will also have the DVR record on the second tuner the Vancouver vs Edmonton (channel 772 at 10:00pm) game.

On the Penguins end of the sport, as much as it pains me to say this, I don’t think that they will have a good year. Mario is the problem, I love the guy as a player, he was a great player (well I think Paul Coffee was better but that just me) But now he does not help the team, it is as if when he is on the ice the other team as a power play since he is so much slower then the rest of the players. I still think he would do good to get off the ice and coach them. The only reason I can think of that he even gets ice time is because he owns the team, and he who pays the piper picks the tune.
With the game I am going to record I probably watch that on Sunday, after church.

I watched the Game tonight to the end of the OT period (I reject the shoot out as part of the game) The Pens did not have a good game in the first period. I still say Mario is hurting the team. But the 3rd period was just WOW that was hockey. There were penalties all around we has 5 on 4, 4 on 4, and 4 on 3. the Pens tied up the game during the 4 on 3 power play. Tonight I saw the first fight, I was so excited about the fight, it was great. The 3rd period was what hockey is all about. Score at the end of it 2 tied.

Well I watched the Pens game to the end of the OT period. It was a good game, at that point I turned off the game after that, the shoot out idea is stupid, Could some one let me know the out come of the shoot out and who the “official winner” was. See my next post about my thoughts on the game. I have better things to do then to then to watch a shoot out that has no business in the game, like watch yesterdays Detroit game I recorded it last night on the DVR.

I got a great feelling about the Comcast center ice. It I am right now watching The MTL vs NYR. So far it is a good passing game. This is going to be a good season.

I just finished watching the Coyotes vs Canucks Game. A very good game the final score was Coyotes 2 and Canucks 3. The Coyotes were down by 2 at the end, when they pulled their goalie out. I never thought that it would work, but they were on a power play so they had 6 attacking to 4 defending, and they pulled a goal off, I have to say well done well done. But they just could not pull that miracle out of the hat. Gretzky did talk the ref into adding .7 of a second to the clock, I did not know what he hoped for with that, but you can not blame him, but he played the team well, the Canucks were just better tonight, but I will say it was a exciting game, more so then the Penguins game. I will have to keep an eye on both the Coyotes and Canucks.

Score Penguins 1, Devils 5. I will have to say that the Devils Goalie is good, keep an eye on him. And Mario, you should not be on the ice, you were a great player, but you have slowed with age, you have no business on the ice, you are hurting the team, you would do better as a couch, but you do not belong on the ice anymore the glory days are over, move on.

Score is Penguins 0 and Devils 2. It is a good game, as much as pains me to say this, the Devils are playing (at this time) better then the Penguins. The first score of the game was made by the Devils #18 (Sergei Brylin) was a great back handed goal. There was a good attempt by the Penguins later on in the period, but it was a weak shot and I don�t think the Penguins deserved the goal. It is shaping up to be a good rest of the game, I am not saying the Penguins are playing bad, they are playing well, but the Devils are just playing a bit better as of what I have seen.
And what the heck is this they made two lines passes legal!!! What the heck for? Also why did they drop the second and more overtime periods?? And a 4-on4 shoot out what the heck is that, I hope I never have to find out.

Well tonight is the season openers. I will watch the Penns game. Also if the NHL Center Ice from Comcast is working tonight I will also watch the Colorado vs. Edmonton game too. I probably will miss the first part of the second game, but I don’t want to flip away from the Penns game when it is still on.
