Pens loss yet again
What is wrong with them?? 8 Games 8 losses. The only team in the NHL this year with out a win. I think we are well on our way of not being in the Play offs.

UPN has started to show South Park on it channel. And here in Pittsburgh I was watching one, it is the one where they people become atheists and start to shove food up their buts and crap out of their mouth. I will admit not the greatest stuff, but a bit funny. But I had a friend over today and we were watching it, and when the parts come out that have a person crapping out of their mouth they have been blacking it out with the following statement: “The scene of
The W3YJ repeater has linked up to echo link to the Hurricane net in monitor mode. This will allow us to listen to it, and still retain the use of the repeater if we need to. So if you are a ham or have a scanner tune to 443.45 to hear the news of Hurricane Wilma as it happens.
Wired is running an article on how the book “Police Call” is ending its publication run. They made a comment in it that I never really thought of. Scanning of the “Public Safety” bands was just the precursor to shows like COPS. It looks like TV has hurt another hobby.
The show “COPS” just puts on TV what once was enjoyed on a scanning radio.
I do enjoy scanning the Pittsburgh Police, EMS, and Fire freqs.
Back on the 16th of this month I had my DVR record the Vancouver Canucks vs the Dallas Stars. And I just watched it today. It was a good game, during the second period of the game the two teams go into some really good hockey. There was a good amount of time where there was just a pitched battle over the puck, no stop in play, just back and forth a few shots on goal, I was out of my seat during that time period. I will have to say that the Canucks and the Stars will be two teams to watch this year.
So far I am looking to watch the games of following teams
Also I was right in this post that I put up between 2nd and 3rd period that the pens would lose the game, but it does not take a genus to know that, with they way they are playing and how far they were down, it was a given.
Well at the current time (8:45pm) the hockey game is in the second intermission, and they only have the 3rd period to go. I am going to go out on a limb here, and I am going to say I think the Penguins will loss again today. I can say this with some form of confidence, since they are down 5 to 1.
If you ever read Dante’s Inferno you will recognize the 9 levels of hell, well I found a site that lets you create your own version of hell, look below to see the one I created. It is just mean, very politically setup.

We finally made it, we have Tropical Storm Alpha. Cool this is our 22 named storm of the season. I wonder how many more we can get, the end of the season is at the end of November. This storm is very close to Wilma, and they will get closer as time goes by. I wonder what would happen if 2 storms ever meet up, would they rip each other apart, or would they join up, I would bet that they would rip each other apart.
Todays WPLUG was a good one, Bill gave his talk on SOAP. I will have to say it was a good talk, and I think I will want to look into SOAP a bit more. Also I gave my talk on Linux in the non-profit organization, I think it was well received, I had a few questions after I gave my presentation, I will admit I was nervous as all get out while giving the talk.
Also Mark Rauterkus was there. Very nice guy. A few of the people at WPLUG ended up talking a bit about politics in the city of Pittsburgh, pretty good talk I would have to say.
Other subjects that were discussed was future meetings, he have a few talks lined up for the next couple of months, but WPLUG does always welcome more speakers, if you have an open source presentation you should contact WPLUG about giving it.
The nominations for the Candidates for the board of WPLUG are in they are
Also you can find information on voting at the
wplug voting page. You can also find out about the way WPLUG is run at the Bylaws page, and you can get information about the WPLUG group (meetings and other events) at the home page
Tomorrow at wplug I will be giving a presentation. Also Bill Moran will be giving a presentation on SOAP.
Fox Sports is running an article on Paul Coffey is retiring, and they retired his original Number (#7). Paul Coffey played for the Penguins I think when he played for the Penguins his number was 77. I remember being at the game where he got his 1000th point in the NHL. He was my favorite player.
The National Hurricane Center is now tracking Tropical storm Wilma I posted about this before when it was still Tropical Depression 24
The BBC is running a story on how this is already affecting Gas Prices.
Now if we get another Tropical storm (or higher) we will be looking at using the name Alpha.
Last night I biked up to my friends game night. After I had been there for 1 or 2 hours, with the bike just sitting outside, we hear this loud popping noise. I bikes tire had just popped, and this tire was just put on last month, and had no patches on it. Well when I took it apart, it popped where the valve came out of the tube itself, is where the failure point was. It just does not make much since, because the tire pressure was set at 80psi, and the tires are rated from 55psi to 85psi. The bike was sitting out in the cold, so the air should have been contracting so the pressure should have gone down a bit, yet the tire popped.
The NHC is now tracking tropical depression 24. If this turns into a Tropical Storm it will get the name of Wilma, which is the last name in the list of names for this year.
