This weekend I hope to put together a section for my web site for all the videos I have posted here. I am not sure how I am going to do it at this moment.
Only 25 more days
Only 25 more days until I am in the new apartment. It will be nice to have the bigger place. It will be nice not to have to crawl over my bed to get to my computers. Right since my current apartment is so small I am bound to have to clime over some object to get from one place to another place in the apartment. Another benefit of the new place is since it is right next to my church, which I am a sysadm at, and we have a wireless network there, I will be able to do some work on the network there from my home after the move.
I am going to have to start calling around to change my address with the companies that send me bill each month. Also I am going to have to get one of those change of address forms from the post office, so I can keep my mail coming to me.
It is over Kerry did the honable thing
Kerry concedes it’s over at lest we will not have another Florida 2000. Its over, we all can not rest easy. Well I hope that in 2 weeks we can get back to our normal lives. But I fear that the talking heads are going to go with this for months on end. Well lets see where things go. Now I turn my head to the next 2 big days in my life. Nov 9, I will then be 28, and Nov 27 I move to the new apartment.
Comments back to normal
Now that the election for the most part is over, I am going to put to comments back on normal mode. I hope the trolls will not troll around here. But I will delete any comment that I deem inappropriate.
Current predictions on the TV
Fox news is having it at 221 Bush and 133 Kerry, I will go so far to add another 55 to Kerry for California, there is now why on earth Bush could win California, but we only need 49 more Electoral votes now.

What is Matins (and Vespers)
In responce to a question I got in my guest book I will make a statement of what Matins (and Vespers) is. They are liturgical prays of the day, there are 7 prayer offices. They are
Matins
Lauds
Terce
Sext
None
Vespers
Compline
My church, First Trinity Lutheran Church, offers Matins Sunday, and Tuesday thur Friday
My church also offers Saterday night Vespers
These are liturgical prayer offices. When I am at home I use both “The Lutheran Hymnal” and the “The Daily Office” edited by Herbert Lindemann (CPH 1961, very hard to get a copy of this book)

This is the video I took at the Pittsburgh Area Reformation Celebration today at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharpsburgh. The video is 30Mb’s large so it will be a bit of time before it starts to play so please be peasant

4 big days in 3 days
Ok that seems odd, but there are 4 big days in the next 3 days this year. Usually it would only be 3 big days in 2 days. But of course depending on who you are you might only recognize 1 maybe 2 normally so for some people they might only see 2 maybe 3. Well you might wonder what all of them are, if you don’t know what 2 of them are.
Well most people know October 31 as Halloween
For Lutherans October 31 is also Reformation day (a celebration of when Luther nailed his ninety-five teases to the church door in Wittenberg, October 31, 1517)
Nov 1 is All Saints Day
And this year Nov 2 is Election Day.
I say since we have 4 days in a 3 day span lets party down, ok maybe not.
Pittsburgh Area Reformation Celebration
Today being the 31 of October and this is the day that in 1517 that Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the Castle Church of Wittenberg. Well today the churches of the LCMS in the Pittsburgh area had the Reformation Rally for the entire area.

Octoberfest
Our church today had it annual Octoberfest that we have every year. It was like most Octoberfests good food good friends and some fun. You can see some pictures of it here.
This Blog Share Thing looks like it could be intersting.

I can not even buy any shares in my own blog, appently someone named Dave Walker owns all the “public” shares. I will get 1000 shares as the true owner of the blog but that is only 20%, I don’t even have a controling interst in my own blog. But at the same time my blog is listed 2 times one as http://www.mikeoconnor.net and once as http://www.mikeoconnor.net/ aparently that final “/” makes a diffence in the system. Maybe it is time for a murger, sorry bad joke, I appologize for it.
