WEll today I found how bad the internet has made things. First I was tring to buy something at microcenter, tried to use samsung wallet. Well again it wanted me to open unlock the phone so it chould show me some random ad. I did that quickly and quickly closed the phone and tried again, again it wanted me to open the phone and unlock the phone to show me some random ad. I was so annoyed I just dropped the phone and grabbed my wallet and used the debt card (the same one I was going to use from the phone) When I got to my car and put the 3d printing Filament in the car, I then went into the phone and deleteted the samsung wallet from my phone, over the past 2 months it constantly want me to open and unlock the phone so it could pop up some random message ad. So I am not going ot use it anymore, it not more convent then just using my debt card, it has shown to be more complicated.
Then when I got home, I tried to make a standard order for groceries from insta cart but becuase the stupid age verification in 3 states (that I don’t live in) instant cart wanted me to validate myself by uploading not only my goverment photo id, but a picture of my credit card. But from what I read online these 3rd party verification services are the best way to get yourself to be a victum of identity theft, so I am going to just leave my instacart/grubhub account on hold and let it die and not used it, so I just drove the 5 minutes to the grocery store and did my own shopping, well atlest I will save the $30 on the tip now as I will not use instacart/grubhub anymore.
With all thest stupid laws, and ads being pushed all over the place could the internet be starting to lay down in its death bed as it no long add conventce to ones life, but makes it so so far more complicated. Oddly I would not be upset if the internet died, true in the 90’s I thought it was the bee’s knees but now it just a major pain in the butt. I bet the companies don’t care if they loss one customer today, but if they keep doing this stupid stuff, they might loss more then just one a day.
Maybe this is just the next step in what I been doing also, lately (last 6 months or so) I been pulling back more and more from shopping online and going to real brick and morter stores.
