I saw a post over at unspace and in the comment I posted about the song “We didn’t start the fire” That song covers events from 1940 to 1989. (Here is a link to the lyrics of the song, that has links to the info behind the song) But I am wondering what would be put in the song from 1990 to this year 2005. Please leave a comment and include year.

Based on your order, I wouldn’t say terrorists in new york, since DC was also affected, maybe just mention Terrorists in USA, but that could be generalized, since McVey was there too, maybe just reference “nine eleven” instead? About “Libby”, say something that rhymes – “Leaking Libby’s broken toe…”, maybe list cloning or terri shiavo? 2003 had swift boat veterans for truth, no? instead of impeachment, say something that would rhyme with the song more “What exactly is sex?” (it could fit into a rhyme). also 1996->1999 – mention the tech boom/crash? maybe ebay, amazon, hey, the microsoft trial, duh! Interesting start! I really should try to work something up. Notice that a) BJ accelerates the list as it gets later and b) he seems to focus on cultural. I suspect I’d focus more on science.
