Last weekend I was feeling board so I decided to go along with my ham radio license, I would also buy a GMRS license. I got the equipment and set it up, I have one in the car, and one at my radio table here at home. I have a Btech in the car, I have gotten reports that while the audio is copyable, it not great (I checked the SWR it between 1.2 and 1.9 so it not the antanna), so I will have to save up to get a better radio. When I do I want one with either the screen in the mic like the Btech or a detachable head, so I can put the radio under the passanger seat to have it out of the way. For the home station I got a Midland GMR25, the report is that the audio is a lot better (the SWR on the antanna is much better too, it from 1.1 to 1.4).

But for now I have 2 diff radio Licenses to play with, a General Amature Radio licenses, and now my GMRS Licenses.
