The Switch 2

Well looking at the new switch 2 that is to come out soon, I originally was excited and was thinking of pre-ordering it. But after the news of both the system, and the games, my doubt started to set in. Then I looked at the launch line up, and found none that I wanted. And given that the switch I have is a secondary console, I mainly play on my PlayStation. I get all my multiplatform games on my PlayStation. So I decided that I will not get the Switch 2 at launch. I don’t know when I will get one. I am not one to scream boycott, but I will not be getting one at the start. I figure I will wait till either Mario Wonder 2 or the next Fire Emblem game comes out before I start to look at getting a Switch 2. The nice thing on that idea, is waiting is that when the time comes for me to look at getting a Switch 2 there just might be a used market for Switch 2 might have already started which means I could get one used for cheaper. Also even if I can not get a Switch 2 when one of those 2 games comes out, that does not mean I can not still get the game and build a backlog for the day I get the Switch 2. I have been able to talk myself out of the FOMO with the Switch 2. While I will get one eventally I will not be working hard to get it at launch or near launch, it might be months or years till I get one, I just don’t feel the need for one right now, I already have a great backlog for my PlayStation and my original Switch. Plus along with that i have so many Menga to read, a great collection of Sci-Fi books to still read, I have a great collection of board games, along with being a Ham radio operator, and playing 2 instrumetns it not like I will not have things to do to fill time with hobbies.

This year is not like things were in 2017 when I was just getting back into video games, and had no backlog, and not knowing what kind of games I liked, I now know what kind of games I like (JRPGs) and I have a good backlogs, and also many other games I want to replay.
