I think Nintendo is make a mistake with the “game key cards” the new digital only game cards that Nintendo is doing. With the situation where more 3rd parties are doing those instead of a real game card. I will not buy a game that not fully on the disc or on the cart, which means I will not be buying 3rd party games on the switch, yes I already buy most of my 3rd party games on my PlayStation but there have been a few 3rd party games I did buy on my original Switch, but if they are “game key cards” I will not buy a 3rd (or 1st party) game that is only a digital game. The beanifit of having the full playable game on a disc/cart is that you don’t need the internet to play them, there have been cases where I am traveling, I will swing buy a game store pick up a game before going to the airport, and by the time I get around to using the game I am already in the air on the airplay, no internet, but with the full playable game on the cart I been able to play the game, that would be gone with the digital only “game cards”.
Also what a dev is saying when they don’t do a physical game, is that their game is not good enouph to be preserved, and if it not good enouph to be preserved it not good enouph for me to play it now.
