If you are voting for him because you “think he is the only one electable” look back to 2008, McCain lost many votes (including mine) to Allan Keys because we could not vote for McCain, and if you give us another McCain (Well on many issues Romney is Obama v2) we will be forced to look for a 3rd party candidate.
Lets look at some of the things Romney people will say:
“Well would you rather have Obama for 4 more years”
Well since Romney is Obama version 2, it would be better 4 more years of Obama then 8 more years of Obama with a diffident name.
“Well Santorum lost in 2006, so he can not win”
I lived in Pittsburgh during that year, and the Casy people did not campain against Santorum, they really just campaigned against Bush, it was not Santorum that really lost it was Bush, Santorum was just collateral damage.
“Your last answer shows the democrats hate Santorum”:
True: and that is good we need some one that will fight the Democrats nto get into bed with them like Romney will.
“Just hold your nose and vote for Romney”
(Yes I have been told that about 10 times now) What a way to run a campaign, admitting you stink but to ask people to vote for you anyways.
“Well who would you vote for”
In 2008 I voted for Allan Keys, I don’t know who would be the 3rd party to look at if the Republicans put up Obama, er McCain, er Romney as the candidate, but I will find some one.
The Republicans can not win if they put up a candidate that Conservatives can not and will not vote for. If you lose the base you lose the election, so those thinking of voting for Romney because you THINK he can win, news he will not win. Give us a candidate we can stand behind, such as Santorum.
